What If Pax Japonica Measured by ‘Cosine Similarity’?

Our institute’s vision is to accomplish ‘Pax Japonica’.
Amid the declining birthrate and ageing population, oppression of the social security system, rural depopulation, nuclear power plants and the relationships with other countries, how can Japan, a developed country facing challenges, get up from the bottom?
Under the certainty that Japan will take a role to lead the global, peace and development will be brought to the international society centring Japan by providing a role model from there to other countries facing the same challenges.
That is our mission.
Cooperating with our sisterhood organisation, IISIA, we currently working on clarifying how much Pax Japonica has approached by measuring the deviation from the reality using NLP.
We have discussed with the members of IISIA what Pax Japonica is with the tool Miro, which allows you to do brainstorming online. We tried to progress it based on collected opinions using a framework called STEEP, but problematically the result was arbitrary as the operation using this framework relies on visual inspiration.
So, what shall we do?
We decided to use Artificial Intelligence (AI).
More specifically, we applied the technology of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
We ‘vectorised’ words using Word2Vec to calculate the similarity to daily reported matters regarding Japan.
Word2Vec vectorises words based on the theory that a word with a similar meaning or usage appears in a similar context. Therefore, each word with a similar meaning or usage exists on a close vector. That is, ‘Cosine Similarity’ gets high.
By repeating this process, it can be scientifically proven how much we approached Pax Japonica.
We would like to create Pax Japonica together with you, so we appreciate your support.
The next blog will be about the concept of Pax Japonica.
