Following the court order to dissolve the Unification Church (Compassion for Social Inclusion Project)

2023.10.13

It was reported today that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science and Technology (MEXT) ordered the Tokyo District Cort to dissolve the Unification Church. The social contradiction has been caused in Japan not only about the issue of the Unification Church and we are at a crossroad.

Looking back to the Japanese post-war history, Japan has grown as a developed country again through its hight economic growth, however, there are people left behind from it. While the partial society, which left behind the development of Japan by the wave of global society and penetration of foreign countries, loses its position in society, the important thing is how we can perceive the people’s needs for social inclusion.

Our institute has defined “social inclusion” since early 2023, we will hold the free lectures in the theme of “the issue of social poverty”, “the second generation of religion” and “the second generation of antisocial forces” this year. Especially, the issue of the second generation of religion has been apparent these days, and the pressure on the second generations who are in religious groups has been stronger since the “accident” of former Prime Minister Abe. Our institute believes that we can provide a place for the discussion to solve problems for not only limiting to one organisation but all the people who needs social inclusion.

Our institute has organised the issue of social poverty in Nishinari and religious second generations. For the third lecture, we will open a lecture about the issue of second generations of antisocial forces in November. As this lecture will be the last one in this year, we would be grateful if you would apply.
